Positano - Day 5

Well the group split up today and half went to walk something like 50,000 steps along the top of the mountains of this amazing coastline and the other half took the scooters and drove along the coast into Amalfi again and then we hit the hills as well and took in this beautiful area from a different perspective. Not so many tourists and buses and beautiful terraced farms and obviously more "normal living" if there is such a thing in this part of the world!
Had lunch at Maiori another beautiful coastal town where hamburgers and chips were ordered, and you can see from the pic, that it's a little different from ours!
We then made our way back to Positano and popped in to do a spot of shopping. Positano gets so very busy in the afternoons and the shops stay open into the evening!
We were then picked up by our transport and headed back up the mountain for Robyn's official 50th birthday dinner (plus it was Fathers Day for the guys here too). Wow, what a place La Tagliata was! Again, no menus or specific food ordered, and then it just kept coming! Mumma in the kitchen downstairs just kept serving up plates of antipasto, pasta, meat meat and more meat, salads, desert and of course, lemonciello! We could not eat anything more, and seemed such a waste to leave it! After much music, dancing, singing and laughing, we waddled back to the bus and ended up at home after midnight! Wow what another wonderful day in paradise!

  1. It's interesting how food is called the same thing but when it arrives it is quite different. Hamburger I guess is the meat patty. Lol
